The drops seem to be the same between both versions, so it's a personal preference. 4player is easier to beat since dying doesn't fail it automatically and the order on stage 2 is easier (don't heal for 30 seconds, while the solo version is don't take damage). However, every enemy in 4player has more health to make up for it.

best way to farm the stones is to simply beat it. when you complete level 170, you automatically get 15 ores in addition to any fragments/ores you picked up in the process. this is the equivalent of 1350 fragments, which is significantly more than you will get by farming any given floor.

There are tons of ways to make mesetas. Extreme Quest is one of them if you don't want to burn your excubes. It's recommended to clear at least until stage 65 for every basic Extreme quest so you can replay any stages you want. Some stages offer more mesetas than the other. Preferably beingable to do at least 1 Battledia run per hour of grinding. Veterans: for rare capsules. Gigantic: for high end gear (low chance). I spent about an hour and a half trying to join parties for busters on ship 4 earlier today. I gave up after only getting 1 free quest that ended up with only 4/8 after 10 minutes in the queue. Had a party beacon down the entire time and only 1 person joined.

Grind isn't that bad. I'm completely free, started playing in September and have a max level Force with a Profound Rod that dropped from Persona. I am just missing the 150 Void Fragments to upgrade it. Its better than most JRPGs cause there are events that will give you a leg up fairly frequently. Manic_Suppression.

Another nifty thing about them is it seems that the drop rate of exchange weapons for Advanced Quest shops is decent, which is of course helpful as those weapons are still quite powerful. Meseta drops in Extreme Quests are quite significant, enough so that it's actually worth using meseta boosting tickets finally.

For pure allatk, you'd run a mixed set of Klauz back with Atlas arms and legs, since Atlas units are 90 allatk. Cras/Klauz Legs over Atlas gives you +19PP in exchange for 10 Attack. People used to consider 10 attack worth 1PP, there is basically no world in which you choose Atlas legs over Cras legs.
